Calder’s Ceramics — How He Turned His Passion Into A Full-Time Job

Calder is a 19-year-old ceramist from the Netherlands and it is his passion. In this article, I will share with you the beautiful handmade products of Calder’s and tell you a little more about him.

Calder is a ceramic artist and content creator who makes ceramics of all kinds. He makes utensils, cups, and bowls in a variety of shapes and sizes, but also has made plates, vases, serving platters, and even jewelry! He loves to experiment with different glaze techniques and use cheerful colors to add some life to your kitchen or dining room table.

He has been working intensively with ceramics for about 5 years now. He started by making small utensils as a hobby. Soon enough he realized that he loved making things with his hands and decided to take a gap year to focus on his ceramics.

He mainly makes utensils that he turns on his vintage turntable. He loves the use of cheerful colors and special glaze techniques. He also spends a lot of time filming the making process and photographing products that are ready. You can follow him on Instagram and TikTok @calders_ceramics.

Calder describes his work as cheerful and sleek. He himself is a bit of a perfectionist who tries to make his work as beautiful and tight as possible. He uses round and graceful shapes but he also likes to experiment with other techniques like dipping or carving into the clay before it hardens completely

All his work is made with stoneware clay and stoneware glaze, so it can be used well to eat and can also be put in the dishwasher

Calder is just like a lot of designers out there. He has a distinct style and a good eye for detail, and he enjoys experimenting with different elements. More than that, Calder has made something of a name for himself in the design community through his YouTube channel. It should also be noted that Calder is one of those rare individuals who are successfully making a living off their craft, so there’s no reason why you can’t follow in his footsteps.
