The installations created by this outstanding architect, designer, and artist from St. Petersburg, Russia, are making a splash in cities. And why not? His name has a splash in it! Meet Victor Splash, a 3D muralist, who erects gigantic installation in public places with such architectural precision that it never fails to impress the public. And these creations are so huge they can be seen from a distance.
Victor is a qualified architect, who, instead of planning buildings, diversified into creating 3D installations. It was the artist in him that prompted him to change tracks. Once he had made up his mind, he took to 3D art in a big way and has been actively engaged in it for the last five years.
One of Victor’s most notable contribution is a large-scale painting and installation in the city of Lodz, located in central Poland. With this installation, this former textile-manufacturing hub adds to the must-see things in this city. It already has a Central Museum of Textiles that displays 19th Century machinery, fabrics, and handicrafts.
Before Victor ventures into any project, he always asks himself what space is he creating around him and what dialogue does he have with this space. Victor makes it a point to rethink the geometry of the flat surface and creates an image that expands that space.
It’s not surprising that Victor is regularly invited for participating in 3D festivals throughout Europe and the USA. His installations have received much recognition the world over. He was adjudged the winner of 3D festivals in Germany in 2014 and 2015 and in Latvia in 2016.
Victor does commission work too. His clients include big industry names, such as BMW, Kerry Foods, Lays, Mercedes-Benz, Rive Gauche, Unilever to name just a few.
