Street Artist Uses Popular Cartoon Characters To Infuse Life Into Street Objects

This street artist, graphist and musician, who goes by the name EFIX, has certainly taken upon himself to literally ‘fix’ the ugly cityscape, like broken pipes, cracks in the walls, etc. not merely by tools and implements, but by drawing humorous cartoons and illustrations.

Born Francois Xavier Donguy in Lille, France, and currently residing in Barcelona, Spain, he has put in four years as a street artist. The unpleasant features of streets and buildings provide motivation and inspire him to cover these up with his artwork. And his tiny cartoon characters can be seen in various situations in and around such street objects. His works not only delight but also infuse a new life to unsightly objects.

What’s really surprising is EFIX is a self-taught artist, who has never attended any art school. Whatever he has learned, he has done so by simply observing the world. It is his artistic gift that makes his creations so appealing that people manage to connect with them instantly.

EFIX draws all popular, easily recognizable cartoons that range from Tom & Jerry to the Lion King to Mowgli to Simpsons and many more. His exceptional gift of visualization and imagination is what makes his works so thought-provoking and a joy to watch.

Not only is EFIX an immensely talented illustrator, but he is also a famous musician in France. But, his first love remains drawing, especially street art. His rising popularity on the internet makes thousands view his works online.
