Brilliant Digital Artist Turns National Geographic Magazine Images Into Adorable Illustrations

If you have seen National Geographic magazine, you must have marvelled at the exquisite photographs of nature, animals, cultures and peoples of the world. These photographs, especially the ones depicting animals, is what this glossy magazine is prized for. And, for all intents and purposes, these photographs are considered the ultimate in perfection.

National Geographic magazine undoubtedly publishes some of the most captivating pictures that leave us awestruck. But, have you ever imagined what these would result in if one were to tweak the pictures and transpose them into something different?

Well, leave it to JN Crazy, a Shanghai-based freelance artist and illustrator, to turn them into something adorable! He is a pro of sorts in tweaking these photographs depicting interesting animals. Not only does he change the animals shown in the photographs from their natural form into cartoonish characters, but he also infuses them with different or exaggerated feelings and expressions.

Just to show that his transposition is original, Crazy even shows the steps of the process he undertakes in creating these new pieces of digital art. What he does is to take a suitable photograph of animals from the National Geographic magazine and, using digital art, converts it into something amazingly different by some deft sketching. Afterwards, he also fills up the colours matching the original.
