Spoofing celebrities is a pastime of the mischief mongers, but this is certainly not what Vincent Flouret, a French fashion photographer from Paris, is attempting by making a dog recreate Madonna’s iconic pics. His creative take on Madonna via his adorable dog, Max, is something to be seen to be believed.
In the last three years, instead of taking the services of high-fashion models, he has made Max his model. This inspiration dawned on him when he volunteered to make studio portraits of dogs at the City Shelters in LA to help these poor dogs get adopted.
Of course, in shooting Max for Madonna portraits, he couldn’t have used the celebrity’s name, so he came up with ‘Maxdonna’ and named his project thus. This project encompasses Madonna’s iconic album covers and video scenes where Max replaces Madonna!
Flouret, being a professional photographer, possesses an eye for detail. This is seen in the way he dresses up and makes up his dog. For example, in Material Girl music video, he makes Max wear Jean-Paul Gaultier corset with matching jewellery and all. His other ‘Maxdonna’ creations are as interesting and intriguing.
Flouret is certainly not cashing in on Madonna’s popularity, but is actively involved in contributing towards her charity ‘Raising Malawi’. The aim of this charity is to improve the lives of Malawi’s orphans and vulnerable children.
Flouret donates all the money he makes by selling prints of Maxdonna to this charity. Of course, Madonna would certainly won’t mind being used in this way!
