Her name is Sylvia, better known as Sylvia Slays on the internet, and she’s a former runway and hair model, who’s now making waves on the internet as a cosplay model.

This masterful cosplayer is totally at ease, whether she’s playing Leila from Vampire Hunter D or as a goddess of the death of Queen of the Amazons or any other character. She loves to design her own costumes and portray herself in them in the likes of her favorite characters that range from comic book heroes to video game characters.
Sylvia’s inspiration comes from creative people. Says she, “I love working with creative spirits and people who have an interesting vision.” She uses her costumes and props for appearances at conventions, and in photo shoots and movies. She explains, “I make most of my own costumes, but love nothing more than working with designers and artists to make their pieces come to life in images and videos.”
Sylvia uses a wide range of simple fabrics, craft foams, thermoplastics and resins to bring out the authentic look of the character being portrayed. She loves to create new looks and says, “I always experiment with new techniques and materials to find the best possible crafting methods.”
Sylvia loves to help people in creating their own costumes and designs. She is all out to provide guidance, know-how and a creative push to cosplay enthusiasts in the right direction. It comes as no surprise that she has a fan following of over 80,000 on Instagram alone.
