What makes her so successful is the intensive research she carries out in imitating the characters for cosplaying, matching not only their costumes, but also their body language. nIt was her boyfriend, who’s now her husband, who introduced Jasmine to cosplaying during her freshman year of college. This gave her an opportunity to observe cosplay up close. For her, it was love at first sight, since it ignited the creativity within her.
As Jasmine began to try out different costumes for cosplaying, she realized that time to make a dress varies with the complexity of costumes. For example, her cutiepiesensei Captain Marvel look took almost a month and a half. This is because she used real leather in the costume and sewing it was most time consuming, since she had never sewn leather before.
nAsked about her favorites characters that she cosplayed, Jasmine immediately comes up with both Wonder Woman and Black Panther Shuri, since they both received fantastic responses from women, elders and kids. The greatest motivation for her to continue cosplaying is the love and encouragement she gets from her viewers. People love to see her embody a character that they simply adore. Little wonder she has a fan following of over 176,000 on Instagram alone.
