Since April this year, Lego has been teasing Star Wars fans with the new design of Falcon. This is supposed to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars and the 10th year of the 2007 Lego Millennium Falcon. After the long wait, the toymaker finally plans to release what looks like a 7,541 piece Corellian YT-1300f light freighter, and it does not disappoint.
The 2017 UCS Millenium Falcon is the biggest and will be the rarest Lego set ever. It might look quite similar to its 10-year-old predecessor, but it is incredibly detailed. It has more flat surfaces and smoother curves. The formerly brick cockpit is now a molded transparent piece, making it look more fit for a spaceship. It pops out with its dark tan and gray colors.
The freighter looks more advanced with its improved lowering boarding ramp, blaster cannon, detachable canopy, and seven landing legs. The overall look is a combination of the spaceships that appeared in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi because of its interchangeable sensor dishes and weapons.
The changes in the model are more visible in the interior. Hidden under the removable hull panels are the seating area, engineering station, engine room, a hidden floor compartment, and a “romantic corner.” The compartments have intricately detailed consoles and doorways. It also has a Dejaric Holographic game!
Of course, Lego Star Wars models are not complete without the mini figures. You can choose any character from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Aside from Finn, Rey and BB-8 droid, this set includes C-3PO and 2 buildable Porgs. Princess Leia and Han Solo are also upgraded. They come with flip respirators from the scene where they are exploring the belly of the giant space slug.
The product will be released in the market on October 1 this year. It costs a staggering 799.99 USD. So, if you like to have one of your own, pledge to the Force, and prepare yourself. It will not be available in every store.
