Posing with celebrities, animals, paintings and sculptures is what is usually the done thing. But, posing with books really takes this to the next level. Meet Elizabeth Sagan, who is not only an avid reader but a bibliophile to the core. She has been reading and reviewing books and she loves doing what she does.

Although reading is her life, it hadn’t been so. She explains, “When I started bookstagram in 2016, I was slowly coming out of a huge reading slump. I wasn’t familiar anymore with the new books, the new authors, I didn’t know what was trendy anymore, so I haven’t read many books that came out in my reading slump years.”

Coming out of that reading slump, she not only resumed her reading but took pictures with books in various settings and poses and uploaded them on the social media. She instantly became famous and soon had a big fan following. On Instagram itself, she has over 45 thousand fans.

Just listen to one of her diehard fans, “Liz is, quite simply put, my queen. And as far as I’m concerned, the reigning queen of bookstagram forever and ever. Her account is raw creativity. I’ve so much respect for this woman, not just because I still haven’t been able to pick my jaw up off the ground after seeing her feed for the first time, but because it’s so evident just how much time and effort she devotes to planning and taking those pictures. It’s so admirable, and I can only hope that my account will someday become even one-tenth as incredible as hers.”

“I realised I loved reading in 7th grade and for a few years, everything was great.” She Told AwesomeByte. “I used to have a blog where I used to write small texts, book reviews and personal stuff. In 11th grade, I decided I should stop reading fiction and start reading more “serious” books (because of my father who pushed me to do so). But this only made me feel miserable and triggered a huge reading slump because for a few years I haven’t read anything at all – not my kind of books (YA, NA, fantasy, sf, horror, dystopia) and not “serious” books (history, psychology, economy and so on), because I didn’t like them.”

Sagan shows her artistic side in arranging the books. In some pictures the books are arranged according to the colours of the jacket covers and, in some others, they match her blonde hair!
