Want to know who is the most followed pastry personality on the social media since November 2017? Well, it is none other than Amaury Guichon, the international pastry chef consultant, based in Las Vegas.
Guichon is a French pastry chef and artist, whose claim to fame are the instructive videos of his creations that he posts on the social media. These videos, in the form of ‘how to’ and ‘behind the scenes’, launched in 2016, became instant hits and gathered millions of views from across the globe.
Guichon, who grew up in the Haute-Savoie region of France, was very creative and practical since childhood. The reason why he opted for a vocational school over a regular one. His love for cooking motivated him to get enrolled in Thonon-Les-Bains, France. It was here that he discovered his love for pastry making.
From here, Guichonwent to the prestigious Maison Lenôtre in Paris, France to deepen his knowledge of pastry. It is not surprising that he was named one of the best apprentices in the Paris region by the MOF organization.

After a number of stints in France, where Guichon won the regional contest ‘Délices de la Méditerranée’ organized by famous French Chef Yves Thuriès and came third as a contestant in the TV reality show ‘Who will be the next great pastry chef’, he moved to the US and joined Jean-Philippe Patisserie that has boutiques in the Bellagio and Aria hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Today, he is Chef de Partie Product Finishing and Product R&Dat Jean-Philippe Patisserie, where he has replaced the whole pastry offering.
