Inside the Mind of Keegan Hall: The Technique Behind His Realistic Pencil Drawings

Next, the Seattle Mariners pitcher Félix Hernández commissioned Keegan for an original drawing, which led to Félix following him on Instagram. The Seattle Storm, a professional women’s basketball team, also recruited Keegan for a drawing to be used as an incentive for season ticket renewals.

But it was his commission from the Seattle Sounders, a professional soccer team, that truly put Keegan on the map. He was selected to design the official poster for the 2016 MLS Cup, which the Sounders went on to win. The poster was praised for its stunningly realistic depiction of the team’s players, and it cemented Keegan’s reputation as a master of pencil art.

Keegan Hall: From Startup Entrepreneur to Master Pencil Artist
