Turkish Pastry Chef Turns Cakes Into Incredible Works Of Art

Tuba Geçki̇l bakes cakes that nobody wants to eat. Not because they’re not delicious, but because they’re too good to eat! Confused? This cake chef is a master at making cakes in the exact image of celebrities, food articles, appliances, and anything her fertile imagination rustles up. Of course, with such realism, it becomes impossible to put a knife to such cakes, so as not to destroy her art.

In an interview with thesun.co.uk, Tuba said, “When I started this art, I had always aimed to be the best in the world. I aim to win many more medals and represent my country in the best way and wave the Turkish flag all over the world proudly.”

Seeing Tuba’s work, there is no denying that she’s among the top cake artists in the world. She has a string of outstanding creations that include President Donald Trump, Beatle John Lennon, Reggae icon Bob Marley, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger in his ‘The Terminator’ avatar, Avatar’s Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana, to name just a few.

Based in Istanbul, Turkey, this talented cake artist specializes in making delicious desserts that take an altogether different appearance and don’t appear like cakes at all! According to her, this is the fun element of her work and she loves to see people get overawed at her creations.

Tuba runs her own outlet by the name of Red Rose Cake. It was her passion for baking cakes that saw her specialize in a wide range of cake decorations, including busts of real and fictional celebrities, cartoon characters, and everyday objects. It wasn’t surprising that a video compilation of her best works went viral on Twitter, inspiring the hashtag #EverythingIsCake and lots of memes. This video also kicked off the rush among the viewers for sharing whatever realistic cakes they could find online.

Such wonderful talent cannot go unrecognized. Tuba is not only in the National Team Chief of the Turkish Chefs Federation (TAFED) and Commission President of the Gastronomy Association for Boutique Pastry Cooks, but also has several awards and honors to her credit. She has a following of over 230,000 fans on her Instagram page.
