Turkish Artist Incredibly Recreates Iconic Works Of Art Using Cracked Eggshells

Trying to find the perfect art piece for your home? You should instead look no further than this creative Turkish artist. Süreyya Noyan uses cracked eggshells as a canvas to create recreations of famous works of art.

In her works, Noyan carefully cracks open an egg and removes its contents. Then she uses delicate paintbrushes or drawing pens to draw inside the emptied shell.

From classic masterpieces like “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh — to modern pieces like “The Scream” by Edvard Munch, Turkish artist Süreyya Noyan uses cracked eggshells as a canvas to create detailed illustrations of art. It’s a painstaking process as she first breaks them to remove the insides and then draws on the shell’s surface.

Süreyya Noyan’s work is impressive and her pieces are almost identical to the masterpieces they are inspired by. They are proof that artwork can be found in the smallest of details if you know where to look.

Noyan recreates the works of other famous artists on eggshells. Even if you’re not interested in art, I think it’s worth clicking through to see how much care goes into the details of these paintings. The in-progress shots are also pretty great.

This is undoubtedly a fun way to paint the world’s most famous masterpieces, especially for those of us who might be less skilled in the art of painting or drawing. The results are equally impressive, as many famous works of art have been animated right before our eyes.

Noyan’s pieces are engaging both because of the story they tell and the way they tell it, while also proving that even a broken shell can have artistic merit. Although breaking an egg to paint its contents is not exactly the most environmentally friendly thing one could do, this project draws our attention to the original role of eggshells in art. After ridding the egg of its content, Noyan does not simply waste or discard its shell; she uses it as a canvas to make art herself.

If you love art, but also enjoy the humor of a nicely-cracked egg, check out Noyan’s creations below.
