Pony Reinhardt. The name may not ring a bell, but boy she is famous. She is not only making waves in the close-knit community of tattoo artists with her depiction of nature and ancient engravings but has also taken the social media by storm!
Pony is inspired by nature, animals and ancient engravings. She creatively blends elements of vintage imagery with modern style tattoos in black and white. Her tattoo work has been hailed as unique and was displayed in the Smithsonian National Gallery of Art.
This American tattoo artist is the curator of Tenderfoot Studio, located in Portland, US. A renovated warehouse in Bindery Annex, this studio has been done up most tastefully and has all the trappings of a modern tattoo parlour.
Tenderfoot Studio is no walk-in parlour but is strictly by appointment. Once you secure an appointment and step into the studio, the calm, comfortable and private atmosphere puts you immediately at ease. The studio gives top priority to health, care, and safety.
Only once this is ensured will Pony starts to display her creative precision on the skin as a canvas. And such is her creativity that she has been honoured with the US Presidential Scholar of the Arts Award, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship Award, and the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts Silver Award.
When most tattoo artists are turning to coloured tattoos, Pony remains old school, using only black ink to etch out amazing black and white tattoos of unparalleled creativity. Little wonder she has become the darling of the social media for her incredible work!
