Realistic Cakes of Turkish Cake Artist Takes the Internet by Storm

At first glance, it seems like an apple, but don’t get fooled into thinking that it is a fruit…it is actually a cake! This astounding creation is of the Turkish cake artist, Tuba Geçkil. Little wonder her masterful cakes have swept the internet and have gone viral.

Geçkil’s cake-making skills encompass cakes that appear like inedible objects or look edible but don’t look like cakes. But actually, all these are expertly created cakes with some incredible Red Rose Cake ideas. Her amazing imagination enables her to create stunning Red Rose cake designs that include cartoon characters, animals, famous personalities, and much more. She has even made a cake in her own image!

Geçkil did not start making cakes in the beginning, rather her artistic bent of mind made her open an oil painting and watercolor painting exhibition. However, once when she got a chance to bake a cake for her son, she got fascinated by the art of cake-making. Says she on her website, “When I finished the cake I made for my son, I remember saying to myself: Anything I hold in my hand can be a cake….” And this is actually what she proved.

It was at this juncture that Geçkil started preparing realistic cakes with stunning designs that included real-looking Red Rose cake decorations, such as shoes, peaches, coffee cups, meat casseroles, and many more. She also took up theme cakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and for other celebrations. Her artistic touches on the cake made her stand out from other cake-makers.

Her works won her a place in her country’s national team to participate in international competitions. She set a record by winning five medals – four gold and one silver – in IKA/ Culinary Olympics, the world’s largest cooking competition. She has over 590,000 viewers on her Instagram page ‘Red Rose Cake & Tuba Geçkil’.
