Wearable Art From Secret Wood Showcases Nature In All Its Glory

“The world on your finger” is what these rings literally exemplify, simply because each one of them contains a piece of nature. Created by Secret Wood, a Canadian company based in Vancouver, these handmade rings are unique.

Each ring displays nature in all its glory. For example, a Secret Wood ring collection may showcase sceneries ranging from deep blue lagoons to snowcapped mountains, and the like. All this from cheaply available materials, such as fresh wood, beeswax, and jewelry resin.

The inspiration for this wearable art comes from Canada’s westernmost province, British Columbia. Roman Wood, the co-founder of Secret World, explains, “British Columbia itself is an infinite source of inspiration for us. We’re surrounded by turquoise lakes, snow-capped mountains, unique forests, crashing waterfalls, and of course, the majestic Pacific Ocean.”

Each crown of the ring, which appears like a tiny globe, has an angular surface designed to refract the scenes placed within. This is not all, Secret Wood rings glow in the dark too! Making a Secret Wood ring requires perfect placement of all the elements of the scenery, piece by piece by hand. This may take up to five weeks for each ring. This is why no two rings are exactly alike.
