This Amazing Turkish Graphic Designer Creates Stunning 3D Calligraphy That Seems To Hover Over The Page

Calligraphy is the art of writing beautifully by means of a pen or brush. The varied and wonderful shapes of letters look really impressive. But, if you think you have seen all kinds of calligraphy, you can’t be more wrong.

Meet Tolga Girgin, a Turkish electrical engineer and graphic designer, who has etched his name in 3D calligraphy by giving a fresh twist to the age-old art of calligraphy. It is certainly assuring that people like Girgin continue to develop this ancient art to date.

One look at Girgin’s work and you find the letters jumping off the page. This is because of his graceful and stunning 3D lettering and clever coloring and shading make the letters literally stand out and become most eye-catching.

So, how was Girgin get hooked on to 3D calligraphy? Says he, “My wife Zeynep encouraged me to start calligraphy. She likes my handwriting and wanted me to share them on the web.” He takes about 20 minutes for a short word and upwards of two hours for a sentence.

Girgin’s 3D calligraphy was well-received on social media. On Instagram alone, he has over 140,000 followers.
