Ingenious Photography Depicts Life-Size Superheroes Mingling With Humans In Funny Situations

Now here’s a guy who loves to humour us at the cost of comic book superheroes! How? Well, he puts these legendary superhero dolls from the iconic DC and Marvel comics in ludicrous situations that really tickles our funny bones.

Meet Wire Hon, who has mastered the art of forced perspective. His seemingly life-size dolls in the pictures are not life-size at all. What this Malaysian artist does is to use his smartphone to fox our minds into thinking that these are huge superhero dolls, the size of human beings, that are mingling with humans in everyday situations.

What Hon does is to place the smartphone at ground level and makes the superhero miniature figurines stand close to it. He then stands a distance away from the superheroes along with his other family members. The placement and actions of all depend upon his idea. The creative photos are then taken by the smartphone, which depicts the scenes that he has visualized. Thirty minutes is all that it takes to set the scene and take photos using forced perspective.

Hon is not alone in creating these incredibly funny and fascinating pictures. His whole family, that includes his wife and children, join him in enacting the desired screenplay. Their presence makes these pictures even funnier and more meaningful.

Hon’s creative mind and fertile imagination allow him to think out and plan the situations that his favourite superheroes find themselves in. It goes without saying that Hon is a huge fan of comic book superheroes and an avid toy collector – a fad that started out as a hobby. His Instagram message, “everybody needs a hobby…” probably indicates his take on his works.

Uploading pictures on the Instagram made Hon an instant hit. On this social platform alone, he enjoys a following of over 4,000 fans and counting.
