Children usually outgrow their love for toys, when they achieve adulthood. But, not Mitchel Wu. Such is his love for toys that he chose to become a professional toy photographer. And thank God for that, since his awe-inspiring photographic creations, using toys, is entertaining one and all.
Wu’s fertile imagination and photography skills, coupled with special effects, creates scenes where he makes the toys come to life. Says he, “I create and craft stories through toy photography…capturing the illusion of motion and emotion where none exist.”
The best part of Wu’s photography is there is no digital trickery involved in his creations. He meticulously sets up his shots that depict action-packed scenes, such as flying objects, toy riding a water stream and suchlike shots.
Wu’s unique talent was recognized by big houses, such as Warner Bros Entertainment, Mattel and IAmElemental Toys, who have become his clients. He has also worked for the 50th Anniversary of Hot Wheels and others. He has been featured by The Walt Disney Co., Pixar, The LEGO Group and Wix.com.
Wu has been covered extensively by the print media like UK Daily Mail, NY Post, Elite, and many more. Thousands of people follow his creations on Instagram and Facebook.
