It’s a common perception among most that the thinner the brushstrokes, the more intricate and classier a painting is. However, Angela Moulton has turned this perception on its head. Her beautiful paintings, rendered in thick brushstrokes, are a testimony to this.

Moulton’s chooses her subjects from nature that abounds in the most beautiful flora and fauna. Whether it’s barn swallows, goldcrest kinglets, poppy flowers or petunias, she makes them come to life on her canvas. Her realistic and stylized renderings, using natural tones and deft swipes of her thick brush, makes her works so alluring.

Moulton has been at it as a full-time artist for almost a decade and her love for nature has not diminished. Her masterly use of acrylic paints, applied on the canvas with a broad brush, almost seems magical.
