Terrariums Containing Living Plants Make Ideal Decorative Items

There are artists and then there are plant artists, and Ronnie Khoo is one of the best. He provides a botanical art platform that helps people make terrariums and botanical installations. He has named his establishment Ohsum Mossum Terrariums.

The terrariums created by Khoo are amazing. These consist of glass jars that enclose living plants. These terrariums make cool décor items. Since these plants require minimal care, their thriving appearance can adorn any house or workplace for days.

Having a green thumb, Khoo was always passionate about plants. As an engineering graduate, he worked for 15 years as an engineer, before his passion got the better of him. He hit upon the idea of terrariums and so enamored was he by them that he chucked his job and went into creating them full-time.

According to Khoo, the best way to experience terrariums is to make them yourself. Of course, making them can be a complicated task, since mosses used in them are quite fragile. Also, since these are living plants, they do need minimal attention for them to look great. The workshops that he provides at Ohsum Mossum Terrariums not only train people in making and maintaining terrariums but are also fun and beginner-friendly.

Besides terrariums, Khoo is also into botanical installations made from both living and preserved plants. Styling with preserved plants, help in making the scenarios flexible and are a great substitute for living plants. This plant artist has established Ohsum Mossum Terrariums in Selangor, Malaysia.
