Remember Your Favorite Disney Movie? It May Not Be as Wholesome as You Thought

Living in a very contemporary world that is almost run by the meme culture, Disney characters are often made targets to showcase a rather dark side of humor. Who would have thought that there’s actually an ounce of truth behind all the negative rumors?

While Disney has garnered a worldwide reputation of a very caring and child-friendly company, theories have been circulating that behind their famous taglines, are secret codes that actually send nasty messages to its customers.

Charles Harris, an ex-employee of Disney, has recently created a wildfire on the internet as he boldly shouted out that some of their campaign ads actually had hidden meanings behind them.

On an interview with Quora, he claimed that the culture within the working staff is to refer to customers as “guests”. Furthermore, the term “customer” is otherwise used to refer to another member of the working staff if they felt that something is being brewed within the cast members and that it should be kept a secret.

This incident, however, is not the first time that Disney was accused of sending nasty messages not just to its customers but also to its viewers. Below is a link to a YouTube video which shows what are supposed to be Disney’s very implicit attempts to send foul messages among its viewers:

The video shows clips from various Disney films. It can be noticed that in every clip, the background shows a rather inappropriate content such as the background voice that says “Go teenagers, take off your clothes” in the popular balcony scene of the movie Aladdin.

Whether these are true or not, Disney still remains to be one of the front runners in the entertainment industry. But it is highly arguable that while they maintain their market of audiences, it is their equally important obligation to assure that their products are always child-friendly.
