Meet Lisa Wellwood, the Inspiring Artist Behind Stunning Pet Portraits & Wildlife Art

Lisa Wellwood is a talented and inspiring self-taught Pet Portrait & Animal Artist based on the Somerset/Dorset border. With a passion for drawing animals and wildlife in detailed colored pencils, Lisa has created a name for herself in the world of art. She (Lisa Wellwood Art) has always had a love for drawing and was rarely seen without a pencil in hand as a child. After working as a graphic designer for 15 years, Lisa rekindled her love for art and started drawing again, inspired by the amazing artists she saw on social media.

With determination and a willingness to invest in the best materials and pencils, Lisa started her journey as an artist. Over time, she improved with each piece she drew and gradually started seeing more details and color in her work. Due to ongoing health problems, Lisa had to give up her part-time job and decided to pursue her art as a career. It has not been an easy road, but with her hard work and dedication, Lisa has been fortunate enough to sell many pieces of her work to buyers both locally and abroad, many of whom are returning customers.

Lisa spends most of her time in her home studio, where she draws and sells her wildlife art, as well as undertaking regular commissions for pet portraits. Her artwork is also made into professionally printed greeting cards, prints, and calendars, and she is always looking for new ways to expand her business.

For those who appreciate the beauty of pet portraits and animal drawings, Lisa Wellwood Art is a name that you will want to know. From her journey as a self-taught artist to the stunning artwork she produces, Lisa Wellwood is an inspiring and talented artist who is making waves in the world of Pet Portrait & Animal Art.
