If you’ve played with LEGO bricks and pieces, you may think LEGO has exhausted all the options. But you’re wrong. The latest LEGO offering is its unbelievably detailed kit that allows you to build the famous NASA international space station. And it’s all thanks to the LEGO fan, Christoph Ruge, who created and the original design for this set.
With LEGO international space station kit, you can produce the exact replica of the space station. And why not? It has the inputs from none other than NASA itself. Many pains have been taken by LEGO designers to replicate the complexity of the real space station that orbits the Earth 16 times a day.
The set includes a posable canadarm2 and two rotating joints and eight adjustable solar panels. It also includes a brick-built NASA space shuttle, that’s completely dockable on the orbital platform, with three mini cargo spacecraft and two astronaut micro-figures.
Little wonder this 864-piece international space station set is as accurate as can be. When fully assembled, the space station measures 7 inches (20 centimeters) in height, 12 inches (31 centimeters) in length and 19 inches (49 centimeters) in width.
If you think this complex LEGO set is not your cup of tea, the iconic toymaker has simplified it by including a 148-page instruction booklet with detailed illustrations. It not only contains instructions but interesting facts and information about the international space station too.
