Italian Pastry Chef’s Food Artistry Creates Miniature Worlds Out Of Cakes And Pastries

You’d rather place them on your living room mantle rather than eat them because the pastries and other bakery items that Matteo Stucchi creates are no less than decorative models meant to be displayed and not consumed.

Hailing from Manza, Italy, this pastry chef creates miniature worlds using tiny figurines to give meaning to his creations. This certainly doesn’t come as a surprise, since Italians are known for their amazing foods and Stucchi is on the top of his game as far as creating miniature scenes with his bakery products is concerned.

With dollops of imagination, Stucchi uses little figurines in his creations in a meaningful way that describe the myriad scenes. And it’s not only the human figurines he uses in his creations but mechanical ones too, such as cranes, boats, ramps and even a Moon rover. The imagination and patience that he displays in putting together his miniature scenes are quite evident in all his creations.

For this 26-year-old chef, looks are just as important as taste. And his variety is only limited by his imagination. The intricate work involved is what gives him satisfaction. He turns baked brownies into mining sites, cake pops into a Ferris wheel, etc. Just savor his pastry art that depicts a cheesecake topped with tiny bricklayers, who seem to be smoothing out the chocolate ‘cement’ or tiny climbers trying to conquer a sugar-dusted ‘Mount Pavlova’ or his fantastic ocean scene made of blue mirror-glazed cake that showcases a tiny sailboat.

Stucchi’s attention to detail is simply incredible and compels one to get involved in his amazing miniature worlds. Of course, such talents don’t go unnoticed. He has an impressive fan following of over 227,000 on Instagram alone that continues to grow as he adds to his collection of miniature worlds.
