Fashion Designer Juxtaposes Outstanding Fashion Illustrations With Amazing Backgrounds

The first step in fashion designing is to sketch the design and then proceed to transpose it into a designer dress. Most designers illustrate their designs as a rough sketch, but Shamekh Bluwi, a Jordanian illustrator and fashion designer, sketches such mind-blowing dresses that the illustrations themselves become exclusive works of art. What’s more, he juxtaposes his models on paper with aesthetic backgrounds taken mostly from his hometown Amman, Jordan.

Bluwi, who’s based in Amman, not only creates beautiful fashion drawings but is a trained architect too. This probably helps him in creating a wish-list of dress designs that women simply crave. How he got started on this career, he shares with graziamagazine.com, thus, “I first realized my interest in fashion illustration when I used to notice the costumes of superheroes in comic books. I used to notice the small details, for example how each different costume reflected each hero’s magical powers.”

Bluwi’s all-time favorite is Christian Lacroix, a renowned French fashion designer. He considers him one of the most important avant-garde fashion designers and is especially inspired by his detailed-oriented approach. This French fashion designer has led him to believe that fashion is ever-changing and the change is always inspired by the past.

Bluwi’s highly creative mind enables him to create a plethora of stunning illustrations that he then translates into incredible designer dresses. He’s one of the few fashion designers who integrate high street fashion, haute couture, high-end fashion, and day-to-day street style. Of course, this is no easy task, since he has to always keep up with the world around him. Little wonder his form of art is not only unique and original but also up-to-date and hip.

Bluwi’s works are popular around the globe and he enjoys a following of a whopping 460,000 fans on Instagram alone.
