This Brazilian Tattoo Artist Wows All With His Unique Invention – Embroidery Tattoos

Tattoos can become works of art with the right technique. Patches are a great way to add interesting, creative flair to your tattoo designs, giving them an individualized feel and making them stand out from the crowd. Here’s how you can use this eye-catching method to transform regular tattoos into unique patches.

Who would’ve thought that one day we’d be sporting embroidery patches on the skin? No, not sewed to the skin, certainly a future possibility, but tattooed in the exact form of an embroidery patch. This invention of Eduardo ‘Duda’ Lozano, a Sao Paolo-based Brazilian tattoo artist, is aptly named embroidery tattoo.

Lozano has certainly created a unique style by blending two delightful art forms – tattooing and embroidery. It all started while creating logos for caps and embroidered shirts. An idea struck him to create tattoos that looked like embroidered patches. This ignited his yearning to do something different.

Says Lozano, “I’ve always tried to do something different, to stand out from other artists, so I remembered working with embroidery and thought I could use it in my new career. I wasn’t the first to start inking people with embroidery tattoos, but I was the first one to make it so realistic, leaving ‘broken’ strings and other imperfections.” By the way, ‘broken’ strings are his signature.

Lozano maintains there are no secrets to his technique, but we know there certainly are And that is his mastery over light and shadow, which makes the tattoo look like a real embroidered patch. What’s great is his embroidery tattoo art is not limited only to comics, logos, cartoons, and the like. Says he, “I’m just at the beginning with this style and my head is bubbling with ideas and soon you’ll have some news.”

With such masterly work, global recognition came quickly. According to Lozano, he has received invitations to international conventions in Croatia, Italy, and Spain. He has also been invited as a guest to various events in Germany, France, Colombia, Mexico, and other countries.

With over 87,000 fans on Lozano’s Instagram page alone, he has certainly arrived on the tattoo scene and how!

Choose the Best Design for tattoos like patches.

Once you have decided on what kind of patch style you would like for your design, you need to decide which artwork to use. It is important to ensure that the size and shape of the patch are suitable for the area of skin on which it will be placed. Looking at any tattoos that existing patches have been added to will help get an idea of what size, color, and style may work better.
