He can easily be given the epithet of ‘Master of Miniature Dioramas’, such is the expertise of this 51-year-old Malaysian artist, named Eddie Putera. He’s making waves on the internet with his incredible miniature models of houses and villages. On his Instagram page alone, he enjoys a fan following of over 280,000!

Eddie is a master in combining miniature modeling with photography that results in models so detailed that they look like the real thing. All his models are handmade and he takes minimum a week to complete his mini models. Sometimes, he’s able to complete five or six in a month.

Eddie’s miniature dioramas tell a story. For this, he fully explores their history and context. He recreates some miniatures out of his memory of the scenes he encountered in the past. What’s more, he is also able to create some dioramas that no longer exist, solely based on the memories of his family members.
