Cosplay that is getting noticed around the world, involves getting dressed up as a character from a film, video game or a book. It has been made popular by the Japanese genres of manga and anime.

Of course, any mention of cosplay will certainly bring on the images of youngsters dressed up in their favorite comic book superhero, a movie star or a cartoon character. In other words, this game is for the young men and women.

But, what this granny has done is something really spectacular that has made her not only a social media sensation but also endeared her to people with her crazy cosplay game. Tia Sol or Auntie Sol, as she is popularly called, is a Brazilian that has a penchant for cosplay and every time she turns into a character she nails it!

She is a whiz at turning classic cartoon characters. This is because of her unmatched attention to details and her unique style of casting herself in the character. Just have a look at her picture-perfect ‘Looney Tunes’ grandma or Rita Repulsa from ‘Power Rangers’ or even one from ‘Courage the Cowardly Dog’ and you will find she is a pro at playing it.

How did this granny get introduced to cosplay? Her daughter is responsible for it. when she once took her to cosplay conventions and meet ups three years ago. The cosplay bug caught her and since then she got into the events in a big way, not missing a single one. She would love to participate in international conventions, but the traveling expenses are keeping her from it.

Sol is happy doing what she loves and this has made her some sort of a legend among her fellow cosplayers. In the process has made innumerable like-minded friends, who share a mutual adoration for nerdy dresses.
