If You Like Grotesque Creations Then This Skull Jewelry Collections Is Just For You

Grotesque and horrifying his creations may appear, but they’re being lapped up by people. This is because Demitri Bakogiorgis hand carves and crafts all his jewelry to perfection. Have a look at his amazing products displayed in all their glory on his website, The Fire Jewelry.

Based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA, this jewelry maker claims to offer “the finest skull rings done with old-world craftsmanship”. All his pieces are hand-carved without the use of digital designing. This makes his craft all the more difficult since there’s no revisiting the pieces to correct mistakes.

Nicks, scratches and slight imperfections do creep into Bakogiorgis’ work, but that makes the piece one of its kind. This is why no two pieces in his collection are the same. His unrelenting eye for detail and a very steady hand is what makes his work unique.

Bakogiorgis uses the age-old process of metal casting. His fabricated molds contain cavities of the desired finished shape, such as skulls, beasts and other objects. The process of casting involves pouring hot liquid metal into the mold and leaving it to solidify. Afterward, the solidified metal, called cast, is removed from the mold in its rough form. The unwanted metal sticking to the piece is then meticulously ‘chiseled’ away and the product is honed to produce a perfect piece of jewelry.

Bakogiorgis uses common casting metals, such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. He dabbles in precious metals too, such as gold and silver. His skull jewelry includes skull rings, skull pendants, skull bracelets, and many others. Besides his skull jewelry, he also offers his exclusive relic collection. His jewelry is available in three finishes – vintage, polished and rustic.

If you want to make your mark with one-of-its-kind jewelry, The Fire Jewelry is what will set you apart.
