When makeup artists change lines, they usually become cosplayers. However, in this case, the makeup artist became a full-fledged artist! She’s Haze Long, who lives in Malaysia and creates wonderful art. What’s more, this artist and speed painter never considered herself to be an artist, till she became one. Today, she’s turning to be an internet sensation!
Long was an established makeup artist with a popular blog, where she used to give makeup tips and even do crazy things like putting makeup on her face, till she looked like Keira Knightley! However, don’t ever think of her as a made-up doll, she’s all brains too. Maths and logic holds greatest the fascination for her.
Before she chose to pursue art, she was the first and only blog and web designer in Malaysia, having completed over 30 projects. This experience exposed her to art and provided her with the opportunity to co-found Paintlust together with Vinn Pang in 2011. Called super wonderful loot or Swoot Creative for short, it was involved in prints, designs, wall murals, social media marketing, web development, and 3D. However, this came to an end in 2013.
In that year itself, Long founded Art Misfits that provides services for graffiti, murals, street art, wall painting, wall design, trick eye illusions, speed painting performances, and much more. According to her, this creative studio has been the industry leader in mural and illusion creation.
